As the maxilimalism aesthetic grows in popularity, we were delighted to have the opportunity to feature this stunning canadian property, Manoir Blackswan.
In the arts, maximalism, a reaction against minimalism, is an aesthetic of excess. The philosophy can be summarized as “more is more”, contrasting with the minimalist motto “less is more”.
Manoir Blackswan is a living space, a private gallery and a creative studio designed with great attention to detail by it’s owner Emmanuel Hébert.
Emmanuel grew up in a small Montréal home that he later transformed into this stunning Georgian mansion, which he now uses as a gallery for his impressive antiques business.

The total floor space is more than 6000 sq2. The main floor is 1500 sq2 of open space with 8 ft tall windows, a heated harlequin marble floor, 12 ft tall ceilings, hand carved marble fireplace mantle, large plaster moldings, a 18′ long Island which a 15′ part is moveable for diners or conferences in front of the fireplace.
The main floor has a 100 sq2 Art Deco Psychedelic Bathroom with a 12 ft ceiling. The second floor includes a marble bathroom with a 80 sq2 Marble shower and a clawfoot cast iron bathtub. There is also 4 rooms filled with Antique & Vintage Lighting.
Manoir Blackswan can be rented out for events and functions.
